The story

A film photo booth, for moments that deserve more than a camera roll

Walk into most events today and the “photo booth” is a tablet on a stand. The prints come out flat, oversharp, a little lifeless, the same iPad look you’ve seen a hundred times. They get glanced at once and tossed in a drawer, because nothing about them feels worth keeping.

We built Vintage Booth to be the opposite of that. Years behind a camera at weddings, and years before that in the darkroom, went into a real film photo booth that treats your event like it matters. Shoot true instant film, or digital through a film emulation we tuned frame by frame until it earned the name one of a kind. Real prints in your guests’ hands before the night is over, either way.

Why film

Because you can hold it

Film taught us everything. The depth, the grain, the way it handles light and skin. That richness is the standard every photo here is held to, whether it was shot on film or through our emulation.

Our film emulation is not a filter slapped on a digital photo. It was built from years in the darkroom, tuned in color and black and white until the prints carry the same character as the real thing. Most guests can’t tell the difference. That’s the point.

And a print is physical. It ends up on the fridge, in the wallet, framed on a desk. Ten years from now, nobody scrolls back to your event. But a print is still right there where you left it.

True film or one of a kind film emulation. Either way, your guests hold something real.

Where we work

A film photo booth near you

We’re based in Washington DC and bring the booth anywhere in the DMV. That means weddings and events across the District, from Georgetown and Capitol Hill to Navy Yard and Shaw, plus Maryland from Bethesda and Silver Spring out to Annapolis, and Northern Virginia from Arlington and Alexandria through Falls Church, Fairfax, and Loudoun County wine country.

Venues within 25 miles of DC are included in every vintage photo booth rental package, and we’re happy to quote travel beyond that. Just tell us where the party is.
